Communication Activities: OPINION For the Committee of Legal Affairs on ARTICLE 13 of the proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on copyright in the Digital Single Market (COM(2016)0593 – C8-0383/2016 – 2016/0280(COD)) Setting up the EU Malaria Fund as a public-private partnership between the European Union, International Organizations, corporations, and organized civic society To provide the public with up-to-date and accurate information on potential diagnostics, vaccines and therapeutics against COVID-19 and to map those initiatives in the area of COVID-19 we support. In this context, deliberations with relevant European stakeholders on potential to speed up clinical studies in Phase III and IV and increase data quality through a dedicated EU Real World Evidence Platform. Vaccine Equity for Africa: Promoting public health by setting up end-to-end manufacturing of contemporary vaccines and other biologicals on the African continent and for distribution in AU member states. Complementary Information: The Transparency Register only allows institutions to register under one of the following three options: (i) Promotes their own interests or the collective interests of their members; (ii) Advances interests of their clients; (iii) Does not represent commercial interests. In our case, as we have been established as a Purpose Foundation in 2014 and since then pursued and represented ourselves with the statutory goal to promote research-based innovation for societal benefit, we have since being registered in the EU Transparency Register under option (i) “Promotes their own interests”. Since in one case that falls under the EU Transparency Register we advance interests of our client, it would be appropriate to additionally opt for option (ii) “Advance interest of client”. As it is technically neither foreseen nor possible to register under both options (i) and (ii), for the sake of full transparency, we have updated our entry and opted for option (ii) “Advance interests of their clients”. Our main activity remains to promote our own interests according to our statute.

Is Member Of: kENUP Foundation has no members or affiliates. kENUP Foundation is the sole shareholder of kENUP Limited. Its main purpose is to act as sustainable shareholder for kENUP investment companies. Currently, among others, kENUP Limited is holding shares in moja innovations GmbH. All proceeds from kENUP Limited are dedicated to kENUP Foundation, and are being used there for the fulfillment of its statutory obligations. kENUP Foundation Malta is the Founder of kENUP Foundation Africa, a Common Benefit Foundation with registered offices in Kigali, Rwanda (kenup.org).
