Goals: Manufacturer of advanced compound semiconductor materials for micro-electronic and photonic devices; applications in telecomms, defence, space, automotive, energy efficiency, aerospace, industrial, consumer and health. IQE also offers materials solutions to customers for added-value within the supply-chain. IQE does NOT manufacture devices within the above application areas.
IQE seeks to partner European organisations in R&D&I projects such as Horizon Europe/Chips JU, as examples, as well as Trans-National funded projects e.g. ERA-NETs, PENTA/EUREKA/ESA and also in Nationally funded projects within the UK. IQE is also active in the first IPCEI (Important Project of Common European Interest) on Microelectronics and leads Chapter/Technology Field 5 on Compound Materials/Semiconductors.

Communication Activities: Participation in numerous EU projects including dissemination, open innovation activities and annual gatherings (AGMs) of e.g. Photonics21 and EPIC.
IPCEI and EFECS - significant effort completed and planned for Workshops/Seminars. An essential part of the IPCEI framework is "spillover", which IQE is participating through workshops and seminars at EFECS and outside of the regular dissemination activities and in the outer reaches of the European Union and the core countries of the IPCEI - DE, FR, IT UK).
