Goals: The International Federation of Film Distributors’ Associations (FIAD) represents national associations of film distributors operating in the majority of European Union Member States as well as globally. FIAD members cover a range of different companies from SMEs specialised in art house films to larger companies dealing with mainstream films. These companies are involved in several aspects of film distribution: marketing, dubbing, subtitling, advertising and prints. Some also manage video and television rights and have activities in film production and theatrical exhibition. With such a representative and multi-national industry, it is important for the association to represent distributors’ interests at the European level.
