Main EU Legislative Proposals: We monitor any legislation that is relevant to emerging technologies, e.g. the AI act, the Digital Markets Act, and the Digital Services Act.
Communication Activities: In 2023, we hosted a luncheon on AI in the European Parliament in July, and have started discussing the challenges that come with emerging technologies with MEPs and Commission officials.
In the autumn of this year and following, we are planning to produce, and distribute publications on emerging technologies, and to promote governance frameworks, and very actionable ideas to prevent harm for society, individual or collective rights, or the rule of law that comes with the extraordinary expansion of technology that we are experiencing at the moment.
