EU rules to guarantee that the products EU citizens consume do not contribute to deforestation or forest degradation worldwide.
Communication Activities: ISPN aims to contribute to the empowerment of traditional peoples and communities and their grassroots organizations, ensuring the realization of their rights: healthy territories with access to diverse natural resources, opportunities for youth in rural areas with access to contextualized education, and strengthened means of production, fostering food sovereignty and income generation.
The institute's goals to be achieved by 2030 are:
- Sensitize Brazilian society and government about the significance of Traditional Peoples and Communities and Family Farmers in environmental conservation in Brazil.
- Establish appropriate regulatory frameworks to promote socio-productive inclusion, considering the ways of life and initiatives of Traditional Peoples, Local Communities, and Family Farmers.
- Strengthen and recognize Traditional Peoples, Local Communities, and Family Farmers’ livelihoods as drivers of environmental conservation in Brazil, leading to increased socio-productive inclusion and greater influence on public policies.
