Mission & Interests
Goals: IIGCC mission is to bring the investor community together in making significant progress towards a net zero and climate resilient future by 2030. We do that by working with their members to develop guidance, tools, frameworks and support mechanisms to facilitate investors in managing climate risk within their portfolios and making the most of opportunities presented by the transition of the global economy. We currently have over 400 members representing around €65tr in assets.
Our policy work helps shape sustainable finance, sectoral policies and global climate initiatives in line with investors' needs. Through our advocacy and engagement with policymakers, we encourage the development of a supportive policy environment for scaling financial flows in line with climate goals and decarbonising the real economy. We also advocate for high ambition outcomes from key international milestones, like the annual UNFCCC COPs, to ensure the successful implementation of the Paris Agreement.
