Goals: IT.next was founded in 2021 to take advantage of the digital transformation dynamics developed during the pandemic in a wide range of emerging markets. The company provides holistic consulting and digital services with a focus on South Eastern Europe, while developing new markets such as Latin America and Africa. Currently, IT.next expands its services portfolio, especially in the fields of capacity building and lifelong learning as well as in the wider field of governance.

Activities
Main EU Legislative Proposals: Our company's executives have a long record of working with and co-forming European legislation. Currently, we are operating within the greater framework of the EU digital policy. Our efforts center on the AI act Artificial intelligence actCOM(2021) 206 of 21.04.2021, procedure ref.: 2021/0106 (COD), as well as the digital education action plan (2021-2027). Regarding the former, as part of the Hellenic OCR Team network, we have already submitted proposals for its development. Further, our profound expertise with digital data has the potential to shape forthcoming commission's policies around working with inherent bias, trustworthy AI and the handling and processing of big open legal data by AI algorithms. On the latter, we have worked with state partners in Greece on the digital transformation of educational systems, accelerated by the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, turning them to opportunities. Our interaction with the competent EU organs aims, for instance, at creating more inclusive and adaptive EU incentives and programmes for preparing public and private institutions for the altered organisational and operational environment within the entire educational context, where the digital dimension is an important but not the only influential factor.
Communication Activities: IT.next is a developing company embedded in networks and linked with experts with long experience in developing EU policies. Recent communication activities involve its participation at world-class events. One of those events was the International Workshop of Scholars and Parliamentarians that took place in Villa La Angostura, Argentina, on 7th and 8th April 2022, where among others the company's CEO moderated a session on the relation between parliaments and education. More recently, IT.next's CEO attended the LegisTech: the Americas' conference in Brasília, on 13th and 14th April 2023, in order to present the latest innovations regarding participation tools in the legislative process.
