Goals: Der IFBS ist erster Ansprechpartner in allen Fragen rund um das moderne Bauen mit Metallblech. Hersteller, Vertriebs- und Montageunternehmen sowie Fördernde Mitglieder im IFBS sichern den Qualitätsstandard im Umgang mit großformatigen Bauelementen aus oberflächenveredeltem Metallblech. Seine Aufgaben sind: Vertretung fachlicher und politischer Interessen der IFBS-Mitgliedsfirmen gegenüber Behörden, Normenausschüssen, Berufsgenossenschaften, anderen Interessenverbänden und sonstigen Fachgremien auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene Entwicklung technischer Standards für die Gebäudehülle aus Metall und deren Festschreibung in den IFBS-Fachregeln des Metallleichtbaus Vermittlung von Sachverständigen, Zertifizierung von IFBS-Montageunternehmen, Einhaltung von Standards bei der Produktherstellung, Information und Beratung der IFBS-Mitgliedsfirmen in allen materialspezifischen und bautechnischen Fragen
