Mission & Interests

Goals: Hrvatski klaster konkurentnosti obrambene industrije predstavlja formalno i krovno udruženje svih dionika (a primarno industrijskih) koji svojim aktivnostima i djelatnostima daju podršku obrambeno-sigurnosnom sustavu Republike Hrvatske ali i EU. Klaster trenutno predstavlja prvi META klaster sa područja RH i usmjeren je na jačanje konkurentnosti obrambeno sigurnosnog sektora RH ali i EU. Naša vizija u klasteru konkurentnosti obrambene industrije je konstantno poticati inovativnost domaćih znanstvenih i proizvodnih resursa za aktiviranje u području obrane i sigurnosti te povećati udio troškova za istraživanje i razvoj za razvoj novih obrambeno-sigurnosnih proizvoda i usluga. Suradnja na području istraživanja i razvoja ključna je ostvarivanju tehnološkog napretka sveukupnog industrijskog sektora RH te ćemo tu vrst ulaganja i suradnje posebno poticati u interesu jačanja Hrvatskog gospodarstva.

Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: We are interested in following and actively participating in EU legislative concerning Security and defence policies, legislative and actions on EU level. We are serving as industrial platform oriented to strenghtening competitiveness of EU defence industrial base. We were part of numerous working groups and platforms through which we have actively participated in bringing more efficient EU regulations and strategic framework - e.g. JRC platform for RIS 3 strategies.

Communication Activities: Hrvatski klaster konkurentnosti obrambene industrije redovito provodi komunikacijske kampanje za svoje članove primarno u području opcija za financiranje obrambeno-sigurnosne industrije EU. Održavaju se redovne skupštine, info dani, inovacijski kampovi, konferencije i sl.

Complementary Information: Croatian defence industry cluster until this fiscal year (2022) was not operating based on membership fees. This 2022, was the first year the membership fees were introduced. Until this year Cluster activities were cofnded and funded through government subventions that were given directly to subcontractors for certain cluster activities. Also, just recently we have managed to sign COSME program (Call Id: SMP-COSME-2021-CLUSTER submitted for SMP-COSME-2021-CLUSTER / 07 Dec 2021) as beneficiary. Project starts on September 1st 2022 until August 31st 2024. We have not introduced this into original application to transparency register since the Grant was not yet signed. As of August 8th 2022 the Grant is signed an validated.
