Main EU Legislative Proposals: Customs legislation and procedures and enhancement of EU trade post Brexit. 1) Feedback on the Report by the Wise Persons Group on the Reform of the EU Customs Union. 2) EU customs reform for 2030 3) EU Single Window Environment for 2023. A path towards streamlined customs controls and trade facilitation through enhanced digital cooperation between authorities at EU borders. 4) EU-UK TCA implications on costs for EU citizens in peripheral states and supply chain issues. We work daily in SPS clearances and trade with GB and see areas of EU legislation that could be amended to reduce inflationary costs.

Complementary Information: Post Brexit we complete customs clearances for EU entities with a full understanding of EU legislation. As a Tax consultant we would review the legislation for every transaction and where there may be anomolies we could notify the relevant authorities. For customs we are making a submission to the EU on areas that we see are an inflationary cost to EU citizens and EU entities buying EU goods that impacts the Free Movement of Goods. This is a general submission that impacts all EU citizens.
