Mission & Interests
Goals: The non-profit organisation HateAid was founded in 2018 and has its headquarters in Berlin. It advocates for human rights in the digital space and stands up against digital violence and its consequences at both social and political levels. HateAid provides support to people affected by online violence in the form of counselling and litigation financing.
How we operate:
1. Emotional support for victims of online violence.We offer nationwide support on emotional, communicative and cyber-security counselling.
2. Litigatoin Cost financing: Bringing perpetrators to justice and empower those affected.
HateAid enables those affected to take legal action against hate on the internet without bearing the risk of a court case.
3. Advocacy
HateAid advised the Legal Affairs Committee of the German Parliament and is being consulted as an expert by various groups and persons and educaties judiciary and police.
4. Public Relations: Creating awareness with political campaigns.
