Mission & Interests

Goals: The Central European Service for Cross-border Initiatives (CESCI) is a Budapest based think-tank of cross-border issues. It was established in 2009 following the model of the French Mission Opérationnelle Transfrontalière (MOT). CESCI provides professional support to the stakeholders involved in territorial cooperation in Hungary and in Central Europe. By involving experts from neighbouring countries our association aims at strengthening the need and raising the spirit of cooperation and in this way facilitating mutual understanding and tolerance between the nations of the Danube region. CESCI is an open association the members of which are local and regional municipalities, natural persons and professional bodies. CESCI’s main area of services are border studies, planning and programming, project development, institutional development, policy-making and knowledge sharing.
