Mission & Interests
Goals: GNDR is a network of Civil Society Organisations from the across the world with the aim of helping local communities build resilience against disaster, whether it would be natural or man-made, along with implementing practices that lower disaster risk. We connect frontline civil society organisations with national and international policymaking institutions and governments. We influence policies and practices by amplifying the voices of people most at risk. Our membership is more than 1,600 CSOs, and membership provides opportunities for collaboration, capacity building, and networking.
GNDR's goals for 2020-2025 are:
1) Strengthen the collaboration, solidarity and mobilisation of civil society organisations
2) Champion a localisation movement
3) Strive for risk-informed development
These will be addressed through the risk lenses of: Climate Change, Conflict, Gender inequality, Food and water insecurity, Urbanisation, and Forced Displacement.

Integrating and leveraging the consortium members multidisciplinary experience, the project will identify innovative disaster risk solutions that account for potential future extreme climate events.
