Mission & Interests
Goals: “FORUM FOR BALKAN TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE” (FBTI) was established as an nongovernment organization.
The Forum is an inclusive organization of organizations, agencies, companies and experts from around the world. The purpose of FBTI is to form national policy, in accordance with the European Union policies, to prepare analysis and assist in the integration of the National Transport Systems of the Balkan countries, to promote international cooperation and collaboration in support of local, national and international infrastructure developments that will allow nations to better address social, economic, and environmental issues of pressing importance.
Our focus is also on counseling and assisting to the government authorities and industry organizations for proper implementation of regulations in the field of transport, participating in the preparation of draft legislation and providing technical assistance.

Communication Activities: - Conference meeting between Bulgarian Transport Branch and members of European Parliament in Sofia, Bulgaria - 24.03.2018. The topic of this meeting was Mobility Package N.1 and its reflection on Bulgarian Business. The whole meeting was streamed online on our information site Transportal.bg. FBTI was co-organizer of the conference.
- We organized in 15 September 2018 round table about the Mobility package N.2. In that event we had participants from the business (all major Bus companies and branch organizations), representatives of government, members of Bulgarian Parliament and 2 MEPs – Peter Kouroumbashev and Georgi Pirinski.
- We organized regular meetings with MEP Peter Vitanov for counseling, discussing and analyzing EU legislation in the area of Transport and communications.
- We organized national discussion about implementing OECD regulations for the management of state companies.
- We started our own youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWTu-oP9ExD6L0OqXi3RjzA), focused on discussions and interviews, focused on Economics and Transport.
