Mission & Interests

Goals: Created in August 2012, Financement Participatif France is the association of crowdfunding professionals. From setting up a national legislative framework to supporting platforms towards European regulations, including ethics monitoring or the organization of events such as the Fête du crowdfunding at ESCP Europe in 2014, 2015 and 2016 (between 700 and 1,200 participants); or the Assises de la finance participative at the Ministry of the Economy and Finance (500 participants during the 3rd edition in 2016), Financement Participatif France has - for nearly 10 years - been able to position itself as a key player in the sector, whether with the crowdfunding ecosystem, regulators or public authorities, in France, but also at a European level.

Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: Advocavy actions on the European crowdfunding service providers for business Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2020/1503). Response to ESMA's consultation on draft technical standards on crowdfunding under the European crowdfunding service providers regulation (ECSPR). Response to EBA's consultation on draft technical standards setting requirements for crowdfunding service providers.

Communication Activities: - Conferences and interventions (The place to crowd, French Fintech week, AEFR, etc.); - Advocacy actions with ESMA parliamentarians and national authorities; - Working group with the european ecosystem (crowdfunding associations, platforms, academics); - Response to consultations; - publications and training for our members.
