Goals: Il Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane è composto di circa 80.436 persone gestiscono oltre 8mila treni e 250mila bus-km, 830 milioni di passeggeri e 50 milioni di tonnellate di merci. Il network nazionale è composto di 16.700 km di rete, di cui circa 1.000 dedicati ai servizi Alta Velocità. Con l'acquisizione di Anas, dicembre 2017,il Gruppo include le responsabilità su oltre 26.000 km di rete viaria nazionale. Alla Capogruppo, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane SpA fanno capo le Società Operative ai vertici europei: Reti ferroviarie, trasporto ferroviario, Sistemi urbani, Trasporto autobus, Ingegneristica, Stazioni, controllate internazionali etc. Il treno Frecciarossa, di Trenitalia, ha inaugurato il trasporto ad Alta Velocità tra le principali città italiane sostituendo percentuali sempre crescenti al trasporto aereo. Il Gruppo FS è impegnato nell'operazione di servizi internazionali di trasporto sostenibile nei Paesi UE, e nella partecipazione a gare pubbliche TPL e AV
