Mission & Interests
Goals: European Schoolnet (hereafter called EUN) is a network of Ministries of Education and national and regional agencies from across Europe, leading educational innovation at European level. As a major international organisation, EUN operates key European services in education on behalf of member Ministries of Education, the European Commission, and industry partners. We act as the interface between education policy, research and practice, and as the facilitator of ‘the network of networks’ – bringing Ministries, schools, research and industry into contact for fruitful exchange and collaboration. Our mission and remit is to support education stakeholders in Europe in the transformation of education processes for 21st century digitalized societies. We do so by providing usable evidence and data; supporting schools and teachers in their teaching practices; developing and sustaining a network of schools engaged in innovative teaching and learning approaches.

Activities
Main EU Legislative Proposals: EUN's mission is to support ministries of education, schools, teachers, and relevant education stakeholders in Europe in the transformation of education processes for the digitalised society of the 21st century. EUN works on three strategic areas:
- Providing usable evidence and data in the area of innovation in education to inform policy recommendations (via peer exchanges, policy experimentations, surveys and reports and via its various working groups)
- Supporting schools and teachers in their teaching practices (via the animation of European networks - eTwinning, European skills and jobs platform, Scientix, AgileEDU, ContinueUP and Better Internet for Kids)
- Developing and sustaining a network of schools engaged in innovative teaching and learning approaches (via the activities organised around the Future Classroom Lab and via the FCL Ambassadors scheme and the EUN Academy).
Communication Activities: EUN organises annual events gathering its key stakeholders, namely Ministries of Education, research centers and academia, experts, practitioners, teachers and school leaders, EdTech and industry partners, representatives of EU institutions. The two main events it organises annually are:
EMINENT- Every year, European Schoolnet organises its annual conference, an expert meeting in education networking bringing stakeholders from across Europe together to discuss the next challenges and potential solutions to ensure an innovative education for all.
The School Innovation Forum, also organised annually, brings together EUN's key community members: representatives of Ministries of Education, national and international agencies, the private sector, and research experts, to discuss the challenges and opportunities linked to school innovation.
