Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: The European Network of Fibromyalgia Associations (ENFA) unites national organisations working in the field of fibromyalgia, as well as other umbrella organisations across Europe, to raise awareness, campaign for change, and advocate for research. ENFA was formally established on 16 October 2008, and has long worked to see the written declaration 69/2008 implemented by the European institutions and national governments. ENFA are keen to see fibromyalgia recognised as a key topic for prioritisation, given that the disease affects an estimated 14 million people in Europe.
Communication Activities: ENFA hosts an annual conference and general assembly for member organisations, and interacts at a number of external conferences and meetings, including those hosted by the European Medicines Agency, European Patients' Forum, Pain Alliance Europe, and the European League Against Rheumatism. ENFA advocates on behalf of those living with, and caring for those with fibromyalgia, represented by a board with lived and/or professional experience of fibromyalgia.
