Info Members: The Executive Committee of EULITA consists of 7 persons who are all engaged, in an honorary capacity, in pursuing the goals set in EULITA's mission statement. They are supported, when necessary, by an assistant hired ad hoc. Any European issues concerning EULITA and/or its members are discussed and decided by the Executive Committee, i.e. if EULITA is informed of any EU plans on an issue relating to legal interpreting and translation and wishes to submit a statement, the Executive Committee will prepare and adopt that statement. One example in this connection is the EU Directive on the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings, or the planned modernisation of the EU Directive on the recognition of professional qualifications. The same procedure is applied when EULITA decides to apply for or join an EU project.
