Mission & Interests
Goals: The globalization of the contemporary European society requires prestigious and strong institutions in each branch. The fashion art, to which all we - admirers and authors are devoted, is a part of the European culture. It is the most contemporary beautiful, constructive and uniting power, an example of tolerance, cooperation and cultural exchange.
Basing on a historic moment, in honor of the 50 anniversary of founding the European Union, we 11 nations founded the European Fashion Council as a representative non governmental organization for fashion and fashion design. At that moment the number of the member states is 17. Its aim is through our program "Fashion Europe" not only to build one of the beautiful faces of Europe, but and to include and establish the FASHION as a significant factor in the European Commission calendar, together with the arts – cinema, theater, music, sport, charity, etc. in favor of United Europe.

The pan European academic of EFC activities will started via European Fashion Academy (EFA) in hybrid forms after March, 7th 2024 and 1st European Fashion Week & Awards in May 9th-19th, 2024 with start from 2024.
October 20th-24th, 2022, Athens, Piraeus and Sounion, Greece: The EFC was invited and participated in the
Annual International Conference of the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) on
the topic: Climate Crises. The role of VET together with AKMI International, The ETF Network for Excellence and
its green VET partnership, GRETA (Greening Responses to Excellence through Thematic Actions), CEDEFOP (the
European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training) and UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for
TVET.
Communication Activities: The foundations of a stable partnership for the implementation of eco-projects and programs at the world level were laid, the first step of which was our proposal for development from Serbia, the Western Balkans to
implementation as pan-European and global contest for young designers ECOLUTION for sustainable and
recycled fashion. This is one of the ways to change not only the thinking of young people and the representatives of
the fashion industry as the most affected by climate change, but through lifestyle activities the eco cause can
encompass thinking and actions completely every day, both on weekdays and on holidays.
November 14th-16th, 2022, San Sebastian, the Basque country, Spain: As the EFC a Head of Dissemination Committee of the project FEA-VEE (www.fea-vee.eu), the EFC participated in the Forum on Vocational
Excellence – Global Partnerships for Vocational Skills with participation of European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, European Commission, Belgium, the Member of the European Parliament, Committee on Culture and Education, Renew Europe, France and the Basque Government, Spain. Held discussions and parallel working sessions gives great opportunity for directly networking and matchmaking for future CoVE projects, dedicated to the European Year of Skills 2023.
November 29-30, 2022, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain: The EFC was invited and participated in the 1st
International Seminar for mobility and project making, where presented 15 project-ideas and founding of the
European Fashion Academy in 10 Departments and 149 specialties for formal and informal education, training and
skills development for all ages from 5 to over 65 years of age.
