Mission & Interests

Goals: ECPA is a non-profit Association representing Members in discussions on EU regulation impacting the use and / or users of payment cards or similar payment instruments, including measures intended to promote the creation of a single European market for card payments (SEPA for Cards). ECPA Membership includes card schemes whose brand is currently used only within the European Economic Area (EEA) such as : Bancontact Payconiq Company (BE), Borica(BG), Groupement des Cartes Bancaires "CB" (FR), Nets - Dankort (DK), SIBS MB (PT), Sistema de Tarjetas y Medios de Pago (STMP) (ES) and Bank ID - BankAxept (NO). Other members are organisations which play key roles only within the European Economic Area (EEA) such as UK Finance, Betaalvereniging Nederland (Dutch Payments Association) and the Pan-Nordic Card Association. ECPA Business Associates include BKM/TROY (TU) and (currently suspended) NSPK/MIR (RU)
