Goals: The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) is the single authoritative voice on advertising self-regulation issues and promotes high ethical standards in commercial communications by means of effective self-regulation. As a non-profit organisation based in Brussels, it brings together national advertising self-regulatory organisations (SROs) and organisations representing the advertising industry in Europe and beyond.

Main EU Legislative Proposals: Fitness check of consumer law on digital fairness, UCPD, MCAD, AVMSD, eCommerce and DSA implementation, Data Privacy, Consumer Protection, ADR review, CPC Regulation, Regulation on the transparecny and targeting of political advertising, Data Protection, Cosmetics, Gender Stereotyping, New Deal for Consumers, Green claims-related policies (in particular, Empowering Consumers for the Green transition, and Green Claims Directive), Fake News and Online Disinformation, Consumer Credit Directive, Influencer Marketing, Beating Cancer Action Plan, Better Internet for Children Strategy, Digital Compass' Declaration on Digital Principles (Children protection online), Initiative on virtual worlds such as metaverse
Communication Activities: Involved on files concerning advertising and self-regulatory initiatives. Formerly part of the Multistakeholder Forum on Disinformation and co-drafter of the Code of Practice on Disinformation. Active contributor to EC and ERGA work on the AVMSD and its implementation. Involved in discussions on the New Deal for Consumers, and in discussions on the Digital Services Act implementation. Providing feedback to policymakers on the scope of the Regulation on Political Advertising. Actively involved in discussions around gender stereotyping in advertising, alcohol advertising, advertising for products high in fat, sugar and salt (HFSS). Frontrunner on rules on influencer marketing. Involved in discussions and common projects with the CPC network coordinated by DG Just.
