Mission & Interests
Goals: EURAD is a European non profit drug policy organization that advocates for prevention and recovery oriented drug policies at national and international level.
EURAD has a governing board and 8 founding members. Our field of work is primarily to follow the drug policy agenda of the EU and the UN and to join the debate about the future of drug policies.
Mission
EURAD subscribes to a preventionist platform. Our mission is to reduce the burden of drugs on individuals, families and society at large by promoting comprehensive, balanced and integrated policies. We seek to reduce demand for and supply of illicit drugs through prevention (including law enforcement) and treatment.

Activities
Main EU Legislative Proposals: EURAD's main areas of interest are the EU Agenda and Action Plan on Drugs (2021-2025). We have been involved in providing civil society input to the evaluation of the previous drugs strategy as well as in the consultations leading up to the current Drugs Agenda. We have provided input to the updated mandate of the EMCDDA, as well as the evaluation of the current Drugs Agenda.
We also follow any other drug policy issues that are on the EU Agenda.
