Mission & Interests
Goals: Europe External Programme with Africa is a Belgium-based Centre of Expertise with in-depth knowledge, publications, and networks, specialised in issues of peacebuilding, refugee protection, and resilience in the Horn of Africa. EEPA has published extensively on issues related to the movement and/or human trafficking of refugees in the Horn of Africa and on the Central Mediterranean Route. It cooperates with a wide network of universities, research organizations, civil society, and experts from Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, and across Africa.
Europe External Programme with Africa strives to ensure that justice, equality and accountability are key cornerstones in the pursuit of international relations. Emphasis is given to Europe’s engagement with and impact on Africa and the role played by the European Union’s external action.

EEPA has in-depth knowledge, publications and networks specialised in issues of peace building, refugee protection and resilience in the Horn of Africa. EEPA has published extensively on issues related to human trafficking, refugee rights and data protection.
EEPA organises events to distribute research results and to give a platform to the voices of refugees.
