Mission & Interests
Goals: Informationsfreiheit und Datenschutz bilden zwei Seiten derselben Medaille. Seit mehr als zehn Jahren tritt die EAID für die Stärkung der Transparenz und einen verbesserten Schutz der Privatsphäre ein. So geht die Gründung der Internationalen Konferenz der Informationsfreiheitsbeauftragten (ICIC) auf eine Initiative der EAID zurück.
Im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit der EAID steht die Schaffung einer exklusiven Plattform für strategische Diskussionen zwischen Wissenschaft, Politik und Gesellschaft zur Zukunft von Informationsfreiheit und Datenschutz in Deutschland und Europa.
Freedom of information and data protection are two sides of the same coin. For more than 10 years the EAID has supported the strengthening of transparency and the improvement of privacy protection. The foundation of the International Conference of Information Commissioners (ICIC) goes back to an initiative of the EAID.
