Goals: EUROMCONTACT is the non-profit organisation representing the European industry of contact lenses, lens care products and accessories for contact lenses.
EUROMCONTACT is committed to sharing its technical expertise and knowledge with EU decision-makers for the smooth implementation of the medical devices regulation.
EUROMCONTACT is in that context one industry member of the Medical Devices Coordination Group (MDCG) of the European Commission DG SANTE.
EUROMCONTACT is monitoring any regulatory developments that are of relevance for the sector - including medical devices regulation; health policies; recognition of professions.

Main EU Legislative Proposals: EUROMCONTACT is following the implementation of the medical devices regulation.
EUROMCONTACT is also interested in the future developments at EU level regarding future legislation change on waste management, packaging waste.
EUROMCONTACT is also interested in EU policies in terms of distribution, on-line and platforms sales.
Communication Activities: EUROMCONTACT is a member of the Medical Devices Coordination Group (MDCG) of the European Commission. In that capacity, EUROMCONTACT attends the technical discussions as per implementation of the Medical devices regulation.
Euromcontact has not organised events in the recent years and does not intend to do so. Meetings are technicals and limited to members.
