Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: EUROMALT represents and promotes the interests of the European malting industry at EU and international levels, including issues affecting the supply chain, the manufacturing, distribution and trade of malt. EUROMALT assists maltsters to source their raw materials and to manufacture, distribute and market their products in a sustainable way.
Communication Activities: • voice and promote the natural characteristics of an added value product (Malt) • enhance the competitiveness of the industry • maintain its members’ position as the world’s leading malt exporters as well as a level playing field with main Third Countries competitors in the field of Free Trade Agreements • formulate and present common positions to contribute to a constructive and workable regulatory framework within the EU • proactively monitor and guide EU policy making process in market, food safety and environmental matters impacting the malting industry and the supply of raw materials • promote strategies for the supply of safe raw materials to the benefit of EU downstream industries and consumers.
