Goals: The mission of the ecoinvent Association is to promote the use and good practice of LCI within Switzerland and worldwide, by:
- supplying up-to-date, relevant, transparent, consistent understandable and affordable LCIA data with world-wide coverage.
- defining standards of data quality, structure and access
- ensuring quality control
- providing, maintaining and operating a database that implements the above features
- being an independent international data hub by engaging and supporting international data providers
- supporting all relevant actors (e.g. policy-makers, private economy/industry and academics) in the use and the applications of the ecoinvent LCI data
