Mission & Interests

Goals: The primary goal of the Chamber is to engage and facilitate tourism, trade, investment and external relations between six (6) independent Eastern Caribbean countries and the growing Southeast Asian community not only in the ASEAN region but also around the world. Realizing that there is a distinct lack of a relationship between the emerging island nations in the Eastern Caribbean and the actively developed Southeast Asian countries, the Chamber hopes to be instrumental to bridge this important gap. More importantly, understanding the great and successful partnerships that the EU has with both these regions, it is but natural for the Chamber to take part and observe in the ongoing relationships and activities between the EU and these two economic regions.

Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: Our organization hopes to enhance and participate in the following activities of the EU: a) The EU-CARIFORUM Economic Partnership Agreement b) Council Motion for EU and Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) Partnership Agreement c) EU Parliament Resolution on trade and economic relations with the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) d) EU Parliament Resolution on the European Green Deal

Communication Activities: Our organization will commence to create and make informational activities to highlight the objectives, aspirations and achievements of the EU policies mentioned above. We shall formulate related events which will be implemented in the EU and in the regions we serve. We shall enlist the support of academics in writing and researching publications in the mentioned areas to positively impact the said policies.
