Main EU Legislative Proposals: DCU strategy is focussed on engaging with the EU by attracting research funding via Horizon Europe. The specific major areas of interest are under Pillar 1(Excellent Science; European Research Council and Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions) and Pillar 2 (Health; Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society; Civil Security for Society; Digital, Industry and Space; Climate, Energy and Mobility; Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment). Currently the policies of interest targeted by DCU are related to the following: - European Climate Law - EU AI Act - European General Data Protection Regulation
Communication Activities: Feedback on work programmes via the Irish Government's National Contact Points (NCP's).
