Goals: DTEK Group is the largest private investor in the energy sector of Ukraine. The Group employs 55,000 people. DTEK Group's companies are engaged in coal and natural gas mining, electricity production at wind, solar and thermal power plants, trade energy resources in the Ukrainian and international markets, distribute and supply electricity to consumers, provide energy-efficient services to customers, and develop a network of high-speed charging stations. In accordance with the Strategy 2030, DTEK strives to transform into a more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly and technological business, guided by ESG principles. DTEK is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI). DTEK's goal is to achieve carbon neutrality. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK Group has restored power supply to 10 million consumers in the regions affected by the hostilities.

Main EU Legislative Proposals: EU energy and climate strategy till 2030; RePowerEU Clean Energy for All Europeans Package Electricity market design and relates issues; bilateral EU-Ukraine energy cooperation and support on energy reforms in Ukraine; Energy Community activities; CESEC Revision of the directives on security of supply on gas and electricity; Energy efficiency (whole range of issues); Climate and carbon related issues; Renewable energy regulation and integration into the market; Mobility package Sustainability and sustainable finance preparations for COP29 integration of the Ukrainian energy system into the European market The Forth Energy Package, REMIT legislation. CBAM European legislation on emissions on the regular basis (LCP Directive, for instance).
Communication Activities: Roundtable discussions, meetings with the representatives of the European Commission, EnC to cover the energy sector reform agenda of Ukraine, recovery of Ukraine, decarbonization of Ukraine; our input to the energy security of Ukraine and the EU. Our aim is to discuss the pivotal role of the private sector as a reliable partner in implementing reforms, emphasizing the journey towards European integration and market coupling for the development of Ukraine's energy sector. Additionally, we wish to provide insights into DTEK's substantial efforts in decarbonizing Ukraine's energy sector, revitalizing the overall energy landscape, and fortifying energy security across Europe, with a dedicated focus on potential involvement of private investors. We are doing everything we can to keep the lights on and build a sustainable energy system: - Building a secure, clean, integrated energy system with plans for EUR 10 bln of projects in Ukraine and the EU. Beginning in Romania, Croatia, Poland and Italy, we are targeting 5GW of projects in the EU by 2030. - Contributing to a Green Europe by delivering ‘first power’ at two renewable projects in Romania
