Mission & Interests
Goals: In response to highly unfavorable conditions hampering Serbia’s progress toward democracy and European integration, CRTA’s efforts seek to contribute to the improvement of conditions for more democratic governance, increased public accountability and transparency. Being the main subject and focus of disinformation attempts in Serbia, these issues at the same time represent the key factors determining the country’s democratic and European path.
CRTA’s strategic commitment is to contribute to preventing further democratic backsliding and to support creating conditions for developing democratic values and protecting the public interest:
- CRTA contributes to creating social resiliency against undemocratic and disinformation influences, leading to a more informed and pluralistic society aspiring toward the EU;
- CRTA contributes to establishing a foundation for institutional accountability, transparency and openness, increasing citizen trust in a democratic perspective.
