Main EU Legislative Proposals: CRH follows EU activities and initiatives connected to construction, construction-related standards (e.g. CE marking), climate change policies, energy (including energy efficiency in buildings), the circular economy and European Green Deal (e.g. Waste Framework Directive), environmental regulation, waste policy, innovation, sustainable finance and construction, renovation wave and industrial strategy.
Communication Activities: CRH is a member of Cembureau which aims to promote the role of concrete in sustainable construction. CRH also works with a number of other industry associations including the Global Cement Concrete Association, The Concrete Sustainability Council, The European Lime Association and The European Ready Mixed Concrete Association amongst others.
