Goals: The Connectivity Standards Alliance (Alliance) is an international trade and standards setting organizations that develops, maintains, certifies, and promotes global Internet of Things (IoT) standards, seeking to enable all objects to securely connect and interact. IoT standards are a set of guidelines and protocols that define how devices connect, exchange data, and interact with each other. Examples of products that IoT standards are used in are smart lights, door locks, thermostats, plugs and smart home appliances. The Alliance strives to ensure these devices can communicate and work together in a secure and seamless network. The Alliance has a membership of more than 600 companies active in various branches of technology across the value chain from silicon, ICT, manufacturers and retailer, with nearly 40% of members in Europe.
