Mission & Interests
Goals: The purpose of CLGE (Council of Geodetic Surveyors in English) is to represent and to promote the interests of the geodetic surveying profession in the private and public sector in Europe, especially to the Institutions of the European Union.
Its aim is to enhance the development of the profession administratively, educationally and scientifically, to facilitate
training, continuous professional development and mutual recognition, and to promote the activities of geodetic surveyors as highly qualified professionals.
Therefore we want influence (by pro-activity), visibility (towards decision makers and the general public), renewal (young motivated surveyors in our midst) and members satisfaction.

Info Members: In 2023 we had two members of permanent staff, but they aren't working for CLGE anymore, since the termination of the EU-funded GISCAD-OV project.
Currently, we have a part-time DG, in a consultancy role.
Moreover per member country (37) we have two delegates, ie. 76 people, on top of this we have about some advisers, on the payroll of one of our member associations.
