Goals: Climate Impact Partners is registering due to its activities as a founding member of the Business Alliance for Climate Action (BACA). BACA intends to register as soon as it is established as an entity. BACA is a coalition of businesses committed to driving voluntary private sector financing to climate mitigation and the protection of nature through high-quality carbon credits. Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: Summary: carbon markets, environment, sustainability, Green Claims Directive, corporate reporting. • Intervene with elected officials regarding the Green Claims Directive • Removals Certification Framework (CRCF)
Communication Activities: To be confirmed, BACA is a new organisation. BACA will engage directly with elected officials and policymakers via a lobbying approach. Broad Objectives of BACA: • To collect like-minded collaborators and draw together multiple disparate efforts to create a credible set of pragmatic voices in support of the use of carbon credits who can connect with existing communication efforts and engage policy makers regarding both compliance and voluntary carbon markets. • To track and influence ongoing legislative, regulatory, and political efforts around climate change mitigation so that they include carbon credits positively and proactively among the relevant tools for action. • To accelerate and improve the demand for carbon credits.
