Mission & Interests

Goals: ChangeNOW was created in 2016 following the COP 21 and organizes every year the largest global event of solutions for the planet. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable world by gathering the international ecosystem and accelerating the deployment of concrete actions that respond to major environmental and social emergencies. In less than 5 years, ChangeNOW has become the largest gathering of changemakers in the World, with over 35,000 participants in 2023 from 120 countries, over 1,000 innovators dedicated to improving our world and 400 speakers making Paris the epicenter of the whole sustainable development ecosystem.

Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: ChangeNOW's mission is focusing on the yearly summit ChangeNOW that is hosted every year in Paris. The summit brings together the World’s most innovative minds and sustainability leaders committed to deploying of solutions for the planet to make progress and to help them scale and spread across industries and geographies. The invitations adressed to different representatives of the EU institutions to our yearly summit are the reason why we are wishing to organise meetings within the EU institutions. If we must choose particular policies that ChangeNOW summit is dealing with within its editorial content, it would be mainly the topics related to Climate change, biodiversity and sustainable development.
Communication Activities: High-level speakers from previous editions include President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Ministers Justin Trudeau, Jacinda Ardern or Erna Solberg. From the public and private field, leaders such as Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault; Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, Christelle Heydemann Global CEO of Orange; Aiman Eizzat, Global CEO of Capgemini, among others. But also scientists, experts and inspiring speakers, of worldwide influence, such as Yamina Saheb of the IPCC, Jane Goodall, Sir David Attenborough, the economist Kate Raworth, the Nobel Prize winner Esther Duflo, the explorers Bertrand Piccard and Johan Rockstrom, to name a few. Last but not least, a delegation of mayors and city representatives, chaired by Mayor Anne Hidalgo, is present each year to highlight the role and ambitions of resilient cities fighting against climate change.
