Main EU Legislative Proposals: The EU areas of interest are related to those areas of legislation (directives and regulations) that impact privacy professionals, organisations and consumers such as GDPR, ePrivacy directive, entire digital strategy legislation such as Artificial Intelligence Act, Digital Marketing Act, Digital Services Act, Data Act, Data Governance Act, and related pieces of legislation such as NIS 2, Political Advertising Regulation, Digital Health, Digital European Data Spaces, EU ID etc.
Communication Activities: We do not directly represent interest of our members, project participants or Hunton Andrews Kurth to the EU institutions. Through projects, white papers, public consultations, webinars, capacity building workshops, roundtables and other events CIPL works industry leaders, regulatory authorities and policy makers around the world to help frame and advance privacy and cybersecurity policy, law and practice.
