Main EU Legislative Proposals: Main European policy areas that are followed by our organisation: - Research and Innovation - International cooperation - Agricultural policy - Regional policy - External relations More specifically, CIRAD experts are also following the developments under the following themes: food security, imported deforestation, pesticides, biodoversity, etc.
Communication Activities: As a leading European agricultural research for development player, CIRAD is committed to more sustainable agricultural and food systems that are resilient to global change, including climate change, while preserving biodiversity and natural resources. CIRAD is involved in communication activities relating to EU Research and innovation, as well as in international cooperation. As far as R&I is concerned, CIRAD participates in the AU-EU High Level Policy Dialogue on Science, Technology and Innovation and events that are associated with the HLPD. CIRAD also plays an active part in events relating to the "green" dimension of EU external policy. In particular, CIRAD has organised several InfoPoint events in relation to its priority areas of research.
