To date (at the time of updating our submission) data from 2023 is not yet available. In 2022, the commitment contracted amounted to € 86.52 million. Beneficiaries are Cemex Spain, Poland, Czech Republic and Cemex’s Research Entity in Switzerland. Funding stems from Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. For 2023, Cemex and its subsidiaries have been awarded further funding from Horizon and through Member States’ authorities in the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Facility. Cemex Spain has been awarded funding from the EU Innovation Fund Small Scale for its project CLYNGAS. These are grants in preparation which have not yet been disbursed.

Info Members: One person whose full time role includes responsibility for EU Affairs, plus support from an assistant; one person from time-to-time representing the cement industry as part of their delegations with EU bodies including the Commission and Parliament. A number of colleagues from each EU member state in which CEMEX operates from time-to-time may attend meetings, receptions or conferences in Brussels, or more rarely in Strasbourg, including with Members of the European Parliament, the Commission and Permanent Representations as well as trade associations. Other specialists who work for the company also attend from time-to-time meetings of the European trade associations to which CEMEX belongs or participates via various national trade associations; often this is concerned with technical aspects of the industry, as well as on policy issues.
