Economic Rationale and Market Failure
Market Failure Analysis -
The reliance on the UK Landbridge has led to inefficiencies and disruptions in Ireland's airfreight model post-Brexit. The Cargo Airbridge is a response to this market failure, offering an alternative route that removes these inefficiencies.
Economic Impact Assessment -
The project is expected to maintain Ireland's FDI attractiveness, enhance Northern Ireland’s FDI attractiveness whilst further aligning Northern Ireland with the EU single market for goods and EU law for trade as per the Windsor Framework agreement, support local businesses, and contribute to the overall economic resilience against Brexit-induced disruptions.
The project’s strategy will aid prosperity in Northern Ireland which interlinks harmony, human value and peace, surely enhancing EU-UK relations and attaining global recognition as a solution to geopolitical tensions.
