- The Transparent project has developed the Natural Capital Management Accounting methodology - a first set of generally accepted accounting principles and guidelines regarding environmental impacts for business, together with the Value Balancing Alliance. The Methodology is aligned with and seeks to support the EU Green Deal.
- The Align project ‘Aligning Accounting Approaches for Nature’ has developed "Recommendations for a standard on biodiversity measurement and valuation" for the private sector. Ongoing work includes the development of guidance for biodiversity measurement at a site level and for supply chains. Guidance is also being developed for the finance sector. Notes are being developed to explore the links with the Global Biodiversity Framework targets and Nature Positive initiatives. This work assists the European Commission’s efforts to support businesses, financial institutions and other stakeholders in developing standardized natural capital accounting practices.
