Main EU Legislative Proposals: Capital Markets Union, UCITS Directive, AIFMD, PRIIPs, MiFID II and MiFIR, Prospectuses Regulation, MMFR, PEPP, SFDR, SFTR, EMIR, MAR, Investor Compensation Schemes Directive, Takeover Directive, IORP II, AML/CFT legislation, GDPR, Retail Investment Strategy, ESG policies etc.
Communication Activities: Letters to ESMA and EIOPA with regard to the legal regime of the delegation of investment management functions by pension funds to asset management companies. Work with the national and EU regulators with regard to the optimization of the regulation of the distribution of UCITS funds. Rationalization of the AML/CFT regime with regard to facilitation of cross-border transactions and remote establishment of contractual relations. Work with regard to initiatives of EFAMA. Enhanced cooperation with national associations of asset managers from Central and East European countries.

Info Members: BAAMC employs only one employee on a full time labor contract and that is the Secretary General. An accountant provides accounting services for a few hours per month. The Chairwoman and the members of the Management Board work pro bono, on a voluntary basis, and do not receive any remuneration or bonuses from BAAMC.
