Mission & Interests

Goals: BETA France aims to bring young people from within France and Europe together to discuss important topics pertaining to EU affairs. In order to achieve this, we have created the concept of Model European Union simulations from as early as 2007. This concept is now prevalent in over 15 cities across the EU. As an unique form of non-formal education, young people are given the opportunity to role play as decision-makers in the EU legislative process. They take on roles such as MEPs, Ministers, Journalists, Lobbyists, Photographers, Interpreters to better understand the workings of the EU. Through the experience they also debate and learn more about 2 working legislative proposals of the European Commission.
