Mission & Interests

Goals: BtH aims to promote glocal (global & local) peace and security by its strong in-house capacity (Team) and extensive network of partners throughout the world. We empower decision and policymakers and practitioners with data-driven & evidence-based research and analysis including our quarterly journal ‘Horizon Insights’. We keep a watchful eye on the globe and crisis zones to bring emerging critical issues to the attention of professionals and the general public. We serve as a forum for debate on our focus areas by organising different kinds of events. We provide world-class training and consultancy services based on our focus areas. We develop and employ innovative and sustainable solutions by making a combination of research, innovation and action projects in collaboration with selected partners. Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: We aim to provide advice to policy making on following EU policy domains. 1/ Asylum and migration: We aim to give our best advice and contribution to the 'EU Action Plan on integration and inclusion' 2/ European neighbourhood policy: We aim to give advice on 'European Eastern Partnership' especially on the Ukraine. 3/ Foreign affairs and security policy: We aim to give advice on 'Defense and Security' policy. 4/ Foreign interference and disinformation: We aim to give advice and support activities of European Parliament special committee ING2.

Communication Activities: We do our communication activities through public and closed events, different publications (research, policy brief, commentary) and projects on each policy domain.
