Mission & Interests

Goals: We are an independent think tank focusing on improving the investment climate in Denmark - we call ourselves the 'Business Think Tank'. Related to this, we are dedicated to looking at constructive and forward-looking answers to Denmark’s role in the European Union and vice versa. On the basis of competent research and independent analysis, Axcelfuture qualify, refine and influence the debate on a range of different topics in Denmark for the benefit of the broader public.

Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: Axcelfutures research are broad and stretches across a lot of legislative proposals and policies - however, Axcelfutures work is mainly targeted towards the following EU legislation and policies - Single Market, digitalisation and services - Migration policy - EU trade policy - Foreign Policy - Green Deal & Fit for 55 We have targeted the above mentioned legislative proposals and policies through visits in the European Commission and meetings with relevant politicians - and we plan on visiting again.
Communication Activities: Axcelfuture seeks to influence decision makers to better the broader public. This is done through analyses and publications in the form of reports and conferences related to the analyses. In regards to the EU policies, we have held a number of conferences related to i.e. The Green Deal, Fit for 55, EU Trade Policy, EU's Single Market, Job Mobilization and Employment. And we plan on visiting Bruxelles to meet with relevant decision makers. We are communicating our activities through our own social media streams (LinkedIn and our Webpage) as well as other digital media outlets and pressed papers including the biggest papers in Denmark. Most recently, Axcelfuture visited Bruxelles and the European Commission in January 2023. We had meetings with the DIRECTOR-GENERAL Ditte Juul Jørgensen in Directorate-General for Energy to talk about Energy Policies. We also had a meeting with MEP Niels Fuglsang and talked about Energy Efficiency in the European Energy System. Furthermore, we had a meeting with Tatiana Marques-Uriarte, member of Energy Commisioner Kadri Simons cabinet, as well as a meeting with Aleksandra Tomczak, member of Frans Timmermans' cabinet who led the Commission's work on the European Green Deal.
