Mission & Interests
Goals: The Association of Nordic Engineers, ANE is a cooperation organisation between trade unions representing more than 500.000 engineers in the Nordic region. ANE is a platform for affiliates to share know-how and generate new ideas. The created knowledge is used for policy influencing in the region and at the EU level.
The primary objective is to promote the attractiveness of STEM education, strengthen the role of engineers in the transition to a sustainable society and advocate for good working conditions for STEM professionals in the labour market.
The thematic priority areas in the 2023-2025 strategy are the Just Twin Transition, Future Skills & Work-life, and Responsible Tech. The thematic areas will serve as a guideline for developing the work of the ANE Secretariat and the cooperation between the five member organisations in the coming three years. These areas are mutually dependent, and most ANE activities will encompass more than one of these priority areas.
