Mission & Interests

Goals: FOOTURA’s main objectives are development and promotion of sport as a tool for positive social impact. We support all kinds of activities connected to sport, cultural tourism, active lifestyle, and youth exchange programs. Our special target groups are youth and disadvantaged people in order to help these people be active and see the benefits of a healthy lifestyle because we in FOOTURA believe that everyone deserves to have a healthy and happy life. Our key goals are: 1. Development of youth activities, initiatives, and projects that support healthy lifestyle and physical education. 2. Strengthening current and creating new relationships between citizens, organizations, regions, and other structures on the basis of sport both in Bulgaria and abroad. 3. Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: In our work we comply with a number of national and European policy documents, which are distributed in favor of sports and social activities. Our commitment through these documents includes our interest in contributing to society and through the following more specific topics - youth empowerment - sports opportunities for all - united youth and sports policies - sports for people with disabilities - sport with a pronounced social function - sports for non-formal education and acquisition of soft skills, teamwork practices, communication models, etc. As part of the policy documents and the best applied developments we use the following documents / sources: White Paper on Sport The European Union Work Plan for Sport (2017-2020) The Communication on Developing the European Dimension in Sport. Communication Activities: Our daily work, project work, events and campaigns are related to the search for and realization of opportunities in the specified target policies. Among our most significant realizations are the work on long-term projects that work for the inclusion of disadvantaged social groups (refugees, migrants, people from remote regions, NEETs, people from minorities, people with diseases and disabilities, etc.), for the development of opportunities for sports in urban environments, for non-formal education and empowerment of young people from different parts of Bulgaria, etc. In our work so far we have performed activities on the following relevant activities: Drafts, circulates and communicates interest-related information material or discussion/position papers dealing with EU policies, processes or procedures.
