Mission & Interests

Goals: Associação Portuguesa dos Industriais Grandes Consumidores de Energia Eléctrica (APIGCEE) is the Association of Large Industrial Electricity Consumers in Portugal, which is member of IFIEC Europe since 1998. APIGCEE aims at safeguarding the interests of its members in the industrial use of electricity and contributing to the establishment of a regulatory system in the electricity sector that promotes transparency among the activities of generation, transmission and distribution as well as to increase the efficiency and quality of service. APIGCEE with an aggregated power consumption of 5,3 TWh (2023) represents approximately 10% of the total electricity consumption and 28% of industrial consumption in Portugal.
