Mission & Interests

Goals: La AVT es una organización de carácter asistencial que fue constituida en el año 1981 con el fin de apoyar a los afectados por la barbarie terrorista y que aglutina más de 4.800 asociados que son víctimas directas del terrorismo y familiares. Tiene el deber de dar respuesta a todas aquellas personas que son afectadas por el terrorismo como son los amenazados y todos aquellos que no han recibido indemnizaciones a pesar de ser directamente afectados por la violencia terrorista. Entre las finalidades de la AVT se encuentran las siguientes: Aunar a las familias víctimas del terrorismo, Prestar ayuda necesaria, Colaborar y cooperar con las actividades en beneficio de las víctimas del terrorismo, Realizar actos públicos, seminarios, conferencias y demás actividades permitidas por la ley que contribuyan a fomentar el espíritu de solidaridad hacia las víctimas, Personarse y asistir a los procedimientos judiciales y Concienciar a la sociedad en contra de los delitos de actos terroristas.

Main EU Legislative Proposals: Una víctima del terrorismo es la definida en el artículo 2 de la Directiva 2012/29 / UE, es decir, una persona física que ha sufrido daños, incluidos daños físicos, mentales o emocionales o pérdidas económicas, en la medida en que haya sido causada directamente por un delito de terrorismo, o un familiar de una persona cuya muerte fue causada directamente por un delito de terrorismo y que ha sufrido daños como resultado de la muerte de esa persona. Complementary Information: Actualmente la Junta Directiva de la entidad la forman 5 miembros, y por Estatutos no son remuneradas por el desempeño de sus funciones, únicamente se les cubre el coste de desplazamiento y manutención en caso de asistencia a algún acto en representación de la Asociación, previa presentación de los justificantes. En 2023 hemos firmado un contrato de colaboración por importe de 30.000€ para los años 2023/2024 con VICTIM SUPPORT EUROPE, AISBL, que ha sido beneficiaria de una subvención de la Unión Europea (Service Contract NO. JUST/2022/OP/0008 (internal reference: JUST/2022/PR/JACC/CRIM/0001).
